Say What? — Red-tailed Black Cockatoo, Pastel pencil on Pastelmat
Red-tailed Black Cockatoo

Say What?

Sold

There's something unmistakably expressive about the red-tailed black cockatoo — a quiet intelligence paired with a curious, almost cheeky gaze. Say What? captures that fleeting moment of connection, where he seems to pause and question the world around him. This piece was a study in colour and texture: what appears black reveals layers of deep blues and soft greys, built up carefully in pastel to give life and dimension to each feather.
